Today, a successful submission only shows a small inline text line on the review screen
(SubmitStatusText in ui/reporting/ReportReviewScreen.kt, string report_submitted = "Report
sent. Thank you!"). This ticket asks for a more deliberate confirmation message: "Thank you for
submitting a problem report! It's people like you that help make LibreMail better! Please note
that submission of a problem does not guarantee a response or a fix, as this is a volunteer led
project."
Implementation risk worth flagging:ReportReviewScreen.kt already auto-navigates away once
the report is gone —
— and the report is deleted once ReportUploadWorker finishes the upload, which can happen very
soon after SubmitUiState.SUCCEEDED. If the confirmation is just another small inline text (as
today), there's a real risk the screen navigates away before the user has time to read it. This
needs a delivery mechanism that's guaranteed to be seen, not just present-for-an-instant text.
Scope
Replace/augment the current inline report_submitted text with the fuller message above,
via a mechanism that survives the screen's auto-navigate-on-delete behavior — e.g. an AlertDialog that gates onDone() until dismissed, or showing the message as a snackbar on
the screen the user lands back on (ProblemReportsScreen.kt or SettingsScreen.kt,
whichever onDone returns to) rather than on the review screen itself.
Update the report_submitted string (or add a new one) with the requested copy.
Confirm the message is legible against SubmitUiState.SUCCEEDED's existing color treatment
or restyle as needed for a more prominent presentation.
Acceptance criteria
After a successful submission, the user reliably sees the full thank-you/no-guarantee message —
not a text line that can be skipped past by an immediate auto-navigation.
Pairs with #159 (which adds a separate "LibreMail does not help with lost/forgotten password
issues" notice shown before submission — this ticket's message is the after-submission
counterpart).
