Context

Required by JMR-dev/LibreMail#34's scope item "Document the data flow + privacy posture," and referenced by LibreMail#16 (F-Droid anti-feature review) and LibreMail#20 (README update) in the app repo.

Scope

  • Write up the end-to-end data flow: submission → ingest → scrub → encrypted storage → manual removal window → weekly publish.
  • State plainly that submission is user-initiated only, and what PII protections exist (and their limits, since scrubbing is best-effort).
  • Publish in this repo (e.g. docs/privacy.md) in a form that can be linked from LibreMail's README/F-Droid metadata.

Acceptance criteria

  • A doc exists that LibreMail#16 and LibreMail#20 can link to or copy from directly.

Dependencies

Best written once #7–#11 are implemented so it reflects reality, but can start as a draft earlier.
